GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive Series

GORE Announce A New Event In the British Road Racing Circuit for 2008 – the GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive Series.

GORE BIKE WEAR™ are delighted to announce the new road racing series they have created in association with Merida Bikes MTB Marathons to offer 50 mile or 100 mile single day racing competitions covering some of the best road climbs in Wales, Cumbria and the Scottish Borders. The four Saturday events of the GORE BIKE WEAR™ Road Sportive Series are:

The entry fee to participate is £25 for either the 50 mile or 100 mile ride and covers ‘after ride’ food, usage of the service stations, riding tuition, camping in the event village from Friday to Monday and a finisher gift.

On the Sunday at each event there will also be the Merida Bikes MTB Marathon Series taking place of which GORE BIKE WEAR™ is, for the second year running, the official clothing sponsor. GORE and their retail partner Wheelbase are offering a ‘Try Before You Buy’ service on both days where participants can test out product from the GORE BIKE WEAR™ range and simply return or purchase the product after use.

Jonathan Bell, Gore Associate comments “This is the first time we have created our own road bike race series in the UK and we’re delighted to be involved with Merida and also our retail partner Wheelbase. This series is set to bring together two different cycling disciplines at each energetic weekend. The more hardened bike experts can have the opportunity to road race on the Saturday before going cross country the following day.”
